I hope that you all enjoy the Regimen series and it proved to be helpful !!
As promised I have recapped the series and you have TWO goodies waiting for you once you click !!Let's recap !
First things first, here are the links for parts 1-3 of the Regimen Series
Part One
Part Two
Part Three
Having a regimen is great, but one must remember that the best thing a curlie can do is LISTEN to her hair.
Do what she asks and you’re in business !
Everything
that follows are just guidelines, you should do what are comfortable
with. It’s your choice. I am just the provider of the information. :0)
Basics I feel are a must for a hair regimen:
- Washing, whether with Conditioner(Co-wash) or with Shampoo. (Moisturizing or Clarifying)
- Deep Condition ( alternating between Moisture and Protein)
- Scalp Care (Sugar Scrubs, Hot Oil Treatments, Scalp Massages)
- Daily Moisture
- Sealing and Styling(Protective Styling, End Care)
- Trims( or Search and Destroy for Single Strand Knots/Fairy Knots)
Key Components to keep in mind when creating your own regimen
How often to wash your hair
How often to deep condition
How often to have protein/moisture treatments
How often to clarify your hair
How to style it to retain the most length/Protective styling
How often to trim your hair
How often to have hot oil treatments
How often to rotate your shampoos and conditioners
Pre-pooing and Co-washing
Daily moisturizing
Protecting your hair( from the elements, rough fabrics, at night.)
Also, remember that you and only you know your hair(or getting to know) and are aware of what habits best suit your hair. Varying factors like the weather, your exercise
routine, your styling options, etc, will all effect how frequently you will do
certain steps in your newly created or revamped regimen !
Here's a sample regimen just for you for reference and one for you to fill out and add to your hair journal !

Great post, I never thought of how much it could help to simply write the regimen down!!
