I thought I would come and share what I've learned from hosting my first giveaway, and to also share with you the prize. I'm not sure if you saw the sneak peek here but have a look if you just can't wait.
I hoping to show the whole piece, framed and all, but instead I'll just show you just the image.
But first, here are a few things that I've learned.
1. It's best to ship the prize out with more reliable companies, such as UPS or FedEx. I won't get into the problems that I dealt with, but remember, you read it here first !
2. Having your prize ready for shipping even before the contest is over. I think that this is important only because who wants to wait ? *shrugs* A few days is acceptable though. I'm just saying it's important that it's ready for shipping.
3. Making sure that the contest rules are clearly stated, just so there is no confusion or misplaced anger.
4. Holding a giveaway and keeping in mind "Would I want to do a, b and c to to and win this prize." I've come across some contests and giveaways that just have you doing the most. I think when dictating what a contestant has to do to enter to win, you should ask yourself if you would want to do it as well.
Those are a few key things that I think are important to remember when hosting. This post was going to be more of a rant, but since it's been a couple days since I had to get "ethnic" with USPS, I've simmered down. Lol.
Have a looksie at the prize !
